Sarasota Hotel Ready to Provide Refuge for those Evacuating from Hurricane Florence

As Sarasota’s newest hotel, the Sleep Inn/MainStay Suites has been carefully designed and built to today’s high standards of commercial construction. In fact, our team affectionately calls the new facility a fortress.

A fortress is defined as “a heavily protected and impenetrable building,” and we are ready to provide a friendly fortress for those seeking a safe place to stay.

We know most of our guests will delight in the high-quality of the building during their vacations and business trips in Sarasota; however, our dual-concept hotel is also prepared to host those seeking refuge from hurricanes threatening the east coast.

September 2018: Hurricane Florence
This week, our team’s thoughts continue to be with all those in the Carolinas or who may reside in Hurricane Florence’s path. As we regularly monitor the projected tracks and forecast, our customer service team is engaged with agencies responsible for mobilizing first responders – should our area be utilized for staging electric workers and other crews.

If you are personally looking to evacuate to Sarasota, please keep in mind that our complex is extremely accessible, easy to drive into, and out of with just two simple turns off Interstate-75. The hotel’s location, 5965 Brookhill Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34232, is 12 miles east of Sarasota Bay. (Therefore, storm surge should never be a concern at our property.) Most importantly, you can always rest assured knowing that the hotel’s windows and walls are guaranteed to withstand the winds of a category 4 hurricane.  Additionally, in our MainStay Suites rooms guests will enjoy the comfort and convenience of a full kitchen with full-size refrigerator.

On the heels of our official grand opening just a few weeks ago, the Sleep Inn/MainStay Suites currently has open hotel rooms in addition to our convenient location and safeguarded facility.

Please trust the Sleep Inn/MainStay Suites team to provide you a safe, comfortable place to weather any storm.
